Well, hello there...and welcome! :)
I have become somewhat interested in the happenings in politics. Don't get me wrong, there are some things that I could give a rat's behind about! But some of the major issues, that were big during the election, (and are still big issues!) have been weighing on my head and my heart for awhile. I guess you could say that I feel passionately about them. What is the problem with that you ask?? Nothing at all. Well, other than the fact that it seems that my feelings, opinions, etc, are different from a lot of people I know. Does that make me wrong and them right and/or vice versa? Not at all! It means we have differing opinions. Again you ask what is the problem with that? If I only knew. My guess is there are many people who feel as passionately about certain issues as I do. And while that should be no big deal, here's the problem I have with that. I can read an article. It can lean towards the Republican side OR the Democratic side and I am ok with that. I form my OWN thoughts and opinions about that. Hey, I'm a 48 year old woman....semi intelligent....more than capable of forming my own thoughts!! Imagine that!! Yeah, ok....I will admit that I have got pretty steamed about some topics before!! Howeverrrrrrrr, when I read some of the statements people make, I literally feel sick to my stomach. I mean it's one thing to disagree, but to get mean and hateful and angry because someone else feels a different way!?! Well, it's disturbing and disheartening. Of course I can't keep quiet if I feel strongly about something, quite often I will add my two cents and end up "stirring the pot". Unintentionally, of course. Seriously.
So....lately I have been kind of ranting and raving a leetle teenie tiny bit (ok, maybe more than that!!) on Facebook. Apparently, that is not the place to rant and rave about politics. Who knew? My daughter said I should take time off of Facebook. HA!! Not hardly going to happen!!! My husband said that I should start a blog and vent and rant and rave there. Hmmm.
So, here I am. I can't tell you what I will end up spewing about in here. I can't tell you that it will all be sunshine, rainbows and bunnies. But I can tell you that what I write in here will be from my heart. Hey, who knows....I might even make you smile or laugh once in awhile!! :)
